This week’s statistics show that $36 billion has been officially reached by non-fungible token sales. These transactions were made across more than a dozen blockchains. There are 18 other blockchains that offer NFTs. However, Ethereum-based NFTs dominate the market by more than 75%. Ronin is the second most popular NFT seller, but NFTs from Axie Infinity, the game, have been the best-selling collection for a while, with over $4 billion in global sales.
$36 Billion in All Time NFT Sales, Ethereum Tops Sales by More than 75%
As the NFT ecosystem grows into a multi-billion dollar industry, it has been an exciting time for blockchain-based digital collectibles. According to this week’s metrics, NFT sales totaled $36 billion.
The $36 billion in sales on cryptoslam.io’s NFT dashboard comes from 18 different blockchains such as Ethereum, Ronin and Solana, Avalanche. Wax, Polygon and Flow. However, Ethereum’s $27 Billion in NFT sales is 75.02% of all total sales across all chains.

Axie Infinity is the most successful NFT collection, with more than $4B in annual sales. This is out of $36 billion in NFT revenue. Cryptopunks is the second-largest NFT collection, with $2.24 trillion in sales.
Bored Ape Yacht Club, which has a total of $2.12Billion in annual sales, is next to Cryptopunks. BAYC is followed closely by Mutant Ape Yacht Club (1.52M), Artblocks (1.25M), NBA Top Shot (1M), Otherdeeds (906K), Azuki (756K), Clonex (671K), Veefriends (538K).
The most expensive NFTs come from Veefriends and Cryptopunks. Cyberkong still commands the highest number of sales by an NFT marketplace.
The dashboard of cryptoslam.io shows that Veefriends’ “Thoughtful Three Horned Harpik” sold the most NFTs for 100,000 ether, or $316 million. Cryptopunk5822, which sold for 8,000 Ethereum or $23.7 Million, is next.
Five NFTs that were sold out the fastest of the top ten were BAYC NFTs, while two were Cryptopunks. Cyberkong VX 85252 and Meebits 10,761 were also included in the top ten most expensive NFTs.
Most NFTs are bought on the NFT marketplace Opensea, with the market Looksrare following their lead. Other notable NFT marketplaces are Magic Eden, Flow’s NBA Top Shot Market, Mobox and Solanart.
NFT sales are falling significantly despite billions of dollars in NFTs being sold over the past few weeks. The weekly NFT trade volumes have fallen and the weekly NFT sales are also down in recent weeks. It will be interesting to see how NFT industries handle the bear market in crypto.
