Adidas, a multinational German corporation, announced Tuesday that it is working with Ready Player Me to create a cross-game avatar platform. Ready Player Me and Adidas will collaborate to create an AI-generated avatar platform based on the personality of Ready Player Me. It will feature the Adidas Originals Ozworld shoe collection.
Adidas Collaborates With Ready Player Me
Adidas continues its journey into the metaverse with non-fungible token (NFT), collectibles. On Tuesday, the company announced that it had partnered with Ready player Me. Ready Player Me, a platform that allows users to create avatars across multiple applications, is designed for the metaverse.
Ready Player Me’s technology lets people explore multiple virtual worlds using a single identity. Adidas Originals’ platform is being launched in conjunction with the latest Ozworld shoe.
Adidas has been testing NFT waters with many different ideas. At the end of November 2021, announced that it had partnered up with Coinbase as well as The Sandbox. In December 2018, Adidas collaborated to the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT project.
Adidas Originals then launched a NFT collection in collaboration with Gmoney, Punks Comics and the BAYC Project. In terms of sales volume, the Adidas Originals NFT compilation was also a top NFT project .
On April 8, the sneaker and sportswear company will launch the AI-generated avatar creation platform. Adiclub members, Adidas NFT holders and Adidas NFT holders get early access to the metaverse. The first avatar will be launched on April 28.
