New research has shown that people in emerging countries are more positive about the metaverse than their counterparts in developed countries. Ipsos’ World Economic Forum (WEF) study also found that Latam nations are the most optimistic about the future and applications of the metaverse to different industries.
Companies are increasingly interested in what people think about the metaverse. Ipsos’ World Economic Forum poll found that half of adults worldwide have positive opinions about the metaverse. However, the survey showed that emerging countries are more optimistic.
The study included groups of 1,000 to 500 adults from 29 countries. These were considered representative of the actual population of each country. The study found that all countries in Latam, including Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Colombia, had a positive view of metaverse technology than the rest of the globe. The metaverse was a topic of extraordinary interest to Peruvians, 74% of whom were positive, compared with only some countries in APAC.
