Sina Estavi, a crypto entrepreneur, bought Jack Dorsey’s first tweet as an NFT last year for $2.9million. The NFT was listed for sale at $48million last week.
A non-fungible token ( NFT) commemorating Jack Dorsey’s first tweet could be sold for less than $280. It was listed by the NFT’s current owner for $48million last week.
Sina Estavi , an Iranian crypto entrepreneur, purchased the NFT in March 2021 for $2.9million. He declared via Twitter last Thursday that he wanted to sell the NFT and promised to donate 50% of the proceeds (which he believed would exceed $25,000,000) to charity. There were seven offers, ranging in price from 0.09ETH ($277 at current rates) to 0.0019ETH (almost $6) for the auction.
Estavi said that although the deadline was past, if Estavi receives a strong offer, she might accept it. If not, it might be too late for me to sell it.” Estavi shared this information with CoinDesk via a WhatsApp messaging on Wednesday.
Estavi, who lost his crypto ventures CryptoLand and Bridge Oracle after he was arrested in Iran last January, is currently relaunching his Bridge Oracle tokens, (BRG), to the Binance Smart Chain.
BRG investors wait for Estavi’s exchange of their tokens for new tokens. Estavi announced the token exchange the same day that he posted Dorsey’s tweet NFT up for sale again. CoinDesk was informed by Estavi that the swap is being done manually and could take up to two years to complete.
